Much of today’s modern uses of hypnosis in psychotherapy are owed to Milton H. Erickson, M.D. (1901-1980). He believed that each person was unique and what problem or circumstance that a person came into treatment with contained also the resolution to the problem at hand. We follow this idea, believing that every person has the power to heal themselves.
Hypnosis is not dangerous. Unlike the hype of old movies, hypnosis cannot make you do something that you do not want to do, or brainwash you. Hypnosis helps you get into a trance state – imagine when you are so focused on a project that you lose track of time. This is what hypnosis does. This heightened focus allows you to direct your attention to needed areas that you may have missed in your busy life. Let us help you find your focus with our services.
